Former dictator Ferdinand Marcos is a month away from his Hero’s burial after President Rodrigo Duterte finally settled the long dispute. Now, former President’s casket has arrived at Batac City, Ilocos Norte.
The confidentially priced, solid bronze casket was ordered from the U.S. and was picked by former First Lady Imelda Marcos herself, according to Dr. Frank Malabed.
The Marcos Mausoleum will be closed to public until Wednesday due to the preparation. Before Marcos is buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani, funeral services will be held in Paoay and Batac churches.
The Department of National Defense (DND) issued a formal memorandum instructing the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to plan and prepare Marcos’ interment.
